Vintage at the SAG Awards

Most of the ladies played it safe at the 2016 SAG Awards in Los Angeles last night, but one stood out for her unusual choice: Demi Moore looked stunning in a 2003 Zac Posen gown. Although 2003 is not technically vintage, kudos to her for forsaking the overused Hollywood stylists and shopping in her own closet…and being green! No reason to let this flattering dress languish on a hanger just because it was worn once, long ago.zacposen2003January Jones wore Schiaparelli….new, not vintage…and it was a failure. It also made me wonder why Diego Della Valle wanted to reboot this fashion house 60 years after it closed. Elsa Schiaparelli was one of a kind, and unsurprisingly, the recent couture collections, which try to embody her unique spirit and charm, fail miserably. Note to January’s stylist…why wear this when you can afford a one-of-a-kind vintage Schiap?
